Edelweiss switched me over to the new Edelweiss+ format and I HATE IT! There are weird symbols on the sides, and at this point they have lost all but one of my downloads, AND most disappointingly my approved list is empty. I had 20+ picture books, with no expiration dates, on the approved list that I download just before I read them to keep my document folders neater. I have no clue what most of them were. Also the "to read" list has absolutely no titles on it from my downloads list, nor any I have shelved as anticipated, so what are they? I have emailed EW and I hope they can help me.

This is my so called "to read" list. *scratching my head* You can also see all the confusing symbols on the right.

Our local celebrity, APRIL THE GIRAFFE, has not had her baby, yet. She has now been featured in both the London Times and the NEW YORK TIMES. Tom Hiddleson even narrated part of the live streaming footage, but he kept calling her Alice, ha ha. You can watch the impending birth on the ANIMAL ADVENTURE'S BABY CAM. The live stream has been taken down a few times for false reports of nudity and violence. Animal welfare groups are behind the false reports. These giraffes were not taken from the wild. They are generations and generations from that. April and her mate, Oliver, live in an excellent environment and the park owner is a conservationist. Here is a nice informational video.

In the meantime we are all waiting for this...

Saturday was the 50th anniversary of BINGHAMTON PARADE DAY. We have our St. Patrick's Day festivities the first Saturday of March every year, so we can get the larger pipe bands who would be marching in the NYC parade. We have a large Irish heritage population and the BU college students, so there are usually sizable crowds. However, this year with windchills nearing zero (-17°C) and it being spring break for the SUNY students, the attendance was much less. I for one stayed home this year. I wanted to post a pipe band video, but none were up on YouTube yet because most people have been posting their videos straight to Facebook. This was a fun video though...

BOUGHT EBOOKS
I have seen so many wonderful reviews for this title and now I have a copy! It was still $1.98 at the time of this posting.

Baz Manchild and I loved the Enchanted Forest series, by this author, when he was young. I am excited to give this one a try. It is also still on sale for $1.99.

This is a Middle Grade and it sounds whimsical. It was only 99¢ at the time of this posting.

The summary sounded stellar and it will count as a music related book. It was free, but now it is $3.99.

NO ARCS, YAY!

*I had two more books, but Blogger isn't letting me download any more images, and this is after not letting me open a drafting page all day.
